Sue Dengate, author of the best selling Fed Up series, is a psychology graduate and former high school teacher who became interested in the effects of food additives after the birth of her first child 20 years ago.
In 2001 she completed an ‘Around the World Supermarket Tour’ to compare the food additives in fifteen different countries.
Her ground-breaking study about the behavioral effects of a common bread preservative was published in a medical journal in 2002.

Nic Lucas – Week 3 – Anxiety
Nic Lucas is a public health researcher at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney where he is undertaking his PhD in the reliability of diagnostic tests.
He has a master’s degree in health science, a master’s degree in pain medicine, and a graduate diploma in clinical epidemiology.
Lucas is also a qualified osteopath – and has been in private practice for 10 years, treating people who primarily present with physical pain.
Nic Lucas has lectured in Australia and internationally on pain medicine, neurobiology and research methods; and is an editor of an international scientific journal.
Nic developed panic disorder in his late twenties, and then generalized anxiety disorder and was affected by this problem for 4-5 years.
During this time he did not take medication and received no formal psychological therapy.
