I’ve just put together some information about the part of the brain connected to emotions – the amygdala – and how it affects peak performance.
They’re getting more scientific about emotional intelligence, and talking about what parts of the brain are engaged in good decision making, workers’ behaviours under stress etc.
Organizations are increasingly recognizing the benefits of mindfulness in the workplace – which includes meditation and napping – there’s just a reluctance to use those words now. Does changing the wording from meditation/napping to mindfulness practices make it more acceptable?
